Abu Garcia Carabus SX. The Abu Garcia Carabus is a spinning reel designed to be combined with finesse, ultrafinesse and torut area (area game) rods. Thanks to its light weight and shallow spool it is suitable for the use of braid, fluorocarbon, nylon and ultrafine ester. Carabus reels have a practically non-deformable aluminium body and wind the line perfectly thanks to a system that optimises the distribution of the coils. The spool has grooves to knot the line easily and securely and the gears have minimal tolerances, enhanced by 4 high-slip Japanese ceramic bearings for smooth and silent operation. A rigid, yet lightweight aluminium crank handle with rubberized knob makes it comfortable to use even in the rain. Equipped with a non-deformable tubular headband. The reel comes with a spare spool, exactly identical to the one fitted (anodised aluminium).
