This racing model features a left-handed-only asymmetrical body design, forged carbon rotor/handle arm, and 3VA handle knob, aiming for ultimate weight reduction. In fishing, where lightness directly translates to sensitivity and "lightness = justice," this reel will give you a tremendous advantage. Standard spinning reels are designed so that the handle arm can be switched between left and right-handed. However, most customers use left-handed reels and never switch a reel set to left-handed to right-handed. From the perspective of reel weight, a reel set to left-handed carries the weight of the mechanism for right-handed use for its entire lifespan. Focusing on this point, we developed a lightweight, left-handed-only design. The gear that transmits the handle rotation to the oscillation gear is positioned on the outside of the body, further reducing the body's size. Therefore, although spinning reels usually allow for left-handed or right-handed handle swapping, this reel is designed exclusively for left-handed use to reduce weight. By using X-Mag Alloy material, the body itself is made lighter, and a special surface treatment makes it a lightweight magnesium body that can also be used in saltwater fishing. "Forged compressed carbon" is a carbon fiber reinforced composite material made by placing prepreg chips containing cut carbon fibers into a mold and compressing them with heat and pressure. In racing cars, this technology is used as a substitute for metal, resulting in a lightweight, high-strength material. Unlike typical continuous fiber CFRP, where fibers are laminated in one direction or in a woven pattern, the carbon fibers are randomly dispersed during molding, allowing for nearly uniform and high strength against forces from all directions. The ZENON CX employs this forged carbon design in its rotor and handle arm. The FCC V Rotor achieves lightweight construction and a low moment of inertia without sacrificing strength, thanks to its materials, small-diameter arbor, and V-shaped wing design. Therefore, its rotation is "smooth and precise."
