Alfred Clear ALF. Is the Clear Alf a spoon? Yes, it's shaped like an ALF, but it's made of resin! A resin studied and created by Yuki and Mariko Sato, developed to be able to have a spoon that can maintain the first layer of water constantly. It is produced in two weights: 0.4 g and 0.8 g mounted with Vanfook SP-11 #10 and SP-11 #8 hooks, the ideal hook to avoid weighing down and unbalancing baits of this type aimed at very research and selective fishing. The size of the spoon is not that of a classic micro, due to the specific weight of the resin, and is closer to a spoon of higher weight (similar to a 1.8 / 2 gr): this allows it to "occupy" more surface area in the water and maintain movement under the water surface as much as possible. The Clear is not a floating spoon, let's be clear, it sinks very slowly and during recovery it tends to rise towards the surface, for this reason it must be used very carefully and its recovery must be understood so that it is devastating. It requires the use of Ester on a reel, when casting it must have a few seconds to "get wet" and begin its descent, then position the rod with the tip facing the water or as close to the surface as possible, it is essential that the line sinks and does not remain afloat. The recovery must begin with a classic Iinesco Jerkatina and then proceed with a slow recovery: The Clear will begin an undulating movement on the vertical axis like any classic spoon and at the same time an oscillatory movement on the vertical axis (like a WW crank with example). We will therefore have a double priming action, supported by a vibration different from the classic iron, certainly quieter and differently priming. Deadly on trout that remain apathetic and not very active in the first 50 cm of water, ideal for triggering a reaction for those that stop in the lower layers waiting to set up ambushes. Material, shape, weight and above all "transparency"! We have learned how important the refraction of light is in Hardbaits: Clear is composed of a translucent resin which allows plays of light that are imperceptible to our eyes, but fundamental for triggering the reaction of the fish. A bait, built with a plastic material, with the movement of a spoon and that of a crank (Wide Walk): this is the Clear
