Abu Garcia Beast Glidebait

The new Abu Garcia Glide Bait swimbait that triggers pike attacks with twitching and jerking

Some lures simply swim, while others literally provoke strikes. The new Abu Garcia Beast Glidebait swimbait clearly belongs to the second category. This rigid lure, available in three sizes, features a durable hard plastic body in two sections with a central joint, paired with a soft rubber tail. This combination creates a particularly seductive swimming action, the performance of which depends entirely on how the angler animates the lure. With twitching or jerking actions, the Abu Garcia Beast Glidebait lure breaks out into long, well-defined lateral glides, but even when retrieved regularly without jerks, the Abu Garcia Beast Glidebait lure produces a slow, well-pronounced S-shaped swimming action. Depending on your retrieval technique, you transition from a jerkbait/glidebait to a swimbait.

A slow descent and hooks mounted on rotating swivels

The new Abu Garcia Beast Glidebait swimbait is animated with disarming simplicity, making the Abu Garcia Beast Glidebait lure easy to use for those targeting black bass and pike. Beyond the techniques already mentioned, there is a formidable trick to trigger the attack of a following pike that refuses to commit: pause and simply let the Abu Garcia Beast Glidebait lure sink. Its very slow descent alone is enough to provoke a strike. The pike sees it only as a weakened, easy prey to attack. Another feature of this Abu Garcia lure is its rotating hooks. The hooks on the Abu Garcia Beast Glidebait lure are mounted on swivels integrated directly into the body of the lure. This freedom of rotation drastically reduces the hook-drop rate. The Abu Garcia Beast Glidebait lure therefore does more than multiply strikes; the Abu Garcia Beast Glidebait lure also keeps fish hooked all the way to the landing net.

Refined finishes and an oversized eye

Aesthetic-wise, the Abu Garcia Beast Glidebait features an oversized painted eye on the body and finishes that, combined with an irresistible swimming action, generate a consistent number of strikes.

Ideal in shallow water, and a trick for night zander

The Abu Garcia Beast Glidebait lure is a slow-sinking glidebait that proves lethal in the first 2.5 meters of depth. You can animate the Abu Garcia Beast Glidebait lure effortlessly over aquatic weeds or along vegetation-choked banks, classic hot spots for pike and black bass.
