Airrus Stargate spinning rod

The Airrus Stargate is a futuristic spinning rod with several technical features and innovations that make it an innovative, high-performance fishing instrument.

The section of the blank that runs through the handle, from the "butt cup" to the first guide, is covered by a "shield" of multidirectional 1k SHIELD carbon fiber, which provides 1000 carbon filaments per square centimeter of blank, with a weight reduction of 50% compared to any other type of cloth, and with extremely high rigidity.

Magma Polymer Technology: Resin applied to the pre-preg that allows for the generation of carbon fiber with very high resistance to torsion and compression while simultaneously achieving unusual lightness of the shaft. The effectiveness of this new material is based on its polyacrylonitrile resin which optimizes the characteristics of the carbon fiber.

A.O.S. AIRrus Over Size System: This blank section, with an "oversized" diameter, has the task of progressively stiffening the rod relative to the applied load, resulting in great power to drag the prey and inconsistent deformation during the hook-setting phase, with the aim of limiting energy dispersion. Another function is to literally dampen the tip oscillations after casting, a fundamental detail for increasing casting distance and precision.

MEGAPHONE EFFECT 2.0: The Megaphone Handle II grip is free of sound-absorbing materials and transfers vibrations to the angler's hand like no cork or EVA can. A transfer of vibrations occurs in the grip; however, in this case, the vibrations traveling along the blank reverse direction at the internal contact point within the grip, allowing them to flow forward through the handle. We call this phenomenon Reverse Vibration Transfer or RVT. The reel seat is an exclusive CUSTOM design by AIRrus, specifically engineered for the Stargate. It is the finalization of research aimed at completely exposing the blank, leaving it visible, but at the same time allowing for superior ergonomics and performance, enabling the hand to be totally in contact with the carbon for maximum sensitivity during fishing.

The guides mounted on the Stargate are KIGAN ZH (spinning) / ZDH (casting) with an anti-tangle stainless steel bridge and high thermal dispersion COALITE stone. The 3rd-generation raised ZDH micro-guide model is the result of design cooperation between AIRrus and Kigan, and is the best possible guide for reducing line friction by mounting a very small ring on a high-profile, inclined frame, because it reduces the angle generated between the line exiting the reel and the first guide. This allows for the safe use of lines beyond 20 lbs, which is impossible with normal micro-guides, and easily allows knots to pass through.
