Airrus Stargate Vertical Interceptor Spinning Rods

The Airrus Stargate Vertical Interceptor is a futuristic spinning rod featuring several technical features and innovations that make it an innovative, high-performance fishing tool. The Vertical Interceptor series was born specifically for the vertical fishing of predatory fish (perch, zander, pike) to ensure sensitivity, lure control, and a powerful hook-setting.

The blank section that passes through the handle, from the "butt cup" up to the first guide, is covered by a shield of 1k SHIELD multidirectional carbon fiber, which provides 1000 carbon filaments per $\text{cm}^2$ of blank, with a weight 50% lower than any other type of cloth, and with very high rigidity.

Magma Polymer Technology: Resin applied to the pre-preg that allows for the generation of carbon fiber with very high resistance to torsion and compression while simultaneously achieving unusual lightness in the blank. The effectiveness of this new type of material is based on its polyacrylonitrile resin, which optimizes the characteristics of the carbon fiber.

A.O.S. AIRrus Over Size System: This section of the blank with an "oversized" diameter is responsible for progressively stiffening the rod relative to the applied load, resulting in great pulling power on the prey and inconsistent deformation during hook-setting, aiming to limit energy dispersion. Another function is to literally dampen tip oscillations post-cast, a crucial feature for increasing casting distance and precision.

MEGAPHONE EFFECT 2.0: The Megaphone Handle II grip is free of sound-absorbing materials and transmits vibrations to the angler's hand like no cork or EVA can. A transfer of vibrations along the blank occurs; however, in this case, the vibrations traveling along the blank reverse direction at the internal contact point in the handle, allowing them to flow forward through the grip. We call this phenomenon Reversed Vibration Transfer or RVT. The reel seat is an exclusive AIRrus CUSTOM design, specifically engineered for the Stargate. It is the finalization of research aimed at fully uncovering the blank, leaving it exposed, while simultaneously allowing for superior ergonomics and performance by enabling the hand to be in total contact with the carbon for maximum sensitivity while fishing.

The guides mounted on the Stargates are KIGAN ZH (spinning) / ZDH (casting) with anti-tangle stainless steel bridge and COALITE stone for high thermal dispersion. The third-generation raised micro-guide model ZDH is the result of design cooperation between AIRrus and Kigan and is the best possible guide for reducing line friction, mounting a very small ring on a high-profile inclined frame, because it reduces the angle generated between the line exiting the reel and the first guide. This allows for the comfortable use of lines over 20 lb, which is impossible with normal micro-guides, and easily allows knots to pass through.
