The new Daiwa J-Braid Expedition X8 braided line is made with IZANAS fibres and Silicon ‘Coating PE’ technology. What are the differences between the traditional 8-strand J-Braid and the new J-Braid Expedition? Here they are: the new Daiwa J-Braid Expedition X8 features Silicon ‘Coating PE’ technology, which results in a smoother, more slippery PE braided line with hydrophobic properties that increase durability and improve sensitivity. The silicone coating on J-Braid Expedition prevents the braid from absorbing water. This means that it will not absorb mud or sediment present in the water, which are the main causes of wear and tear on braids over time. Thanks to its hydrophobic properties, J-Braid Expedition repels water, ensuring greater durability. In addition, the new Daiwa J-Braid Expedition is wound and braided more tightly than almost any other line on the market, offering a braid with an incredibly round profile that does not separate or fray during use.
