The Deps Sliding Jig has been designed to obtain a particularly realistic and natural action. The shape of the head resembles the keel of a boat, and this allows it to swing sideways if placed on a stony bottom, imitating a shrimp intent on hiding among the rocks. In the case of sandy bottom, the head of the Sliding Jig "cuts" the bottom, raising continuous clouds of material, and this is what particularly attracts the bass. The eyelet in this case is positioned above the head of the jig, so as to support the bait in its lateral oscillations, this peculiarity often makes it effective even near artificial structures
