Nomura Izu SW Slow Pitch jig. This slow pitching lead jig was born from the idea of the Japanese engineer Nomura to reduce the effort of heavy jigging and above all to increase catches of pelagic predators in seas that are not too deep (such as the Mediterranean Sea); this new type of boat fishing is called Slow Pitch which is similar to Jigging but much lighter. With their tapered shape, these lures which are called blatta (from slow blatta) swim effectively with a rapid jerking action and slide quickly into depth with very attractive horizontal swimming; the body is conical to cut through the water wall and react quickly to recovery. They are mounted with the appropriate double or single assist hooks.
