Torsion Control Armor (TCA). The Epixor XT's one-piece TCA design was crafted using Okuma C-40X carbon fiber technology with a dual-arm design. Compared to traditional single-sided designs, TCA's double arm offers greater resistance to twisting and bending under heavy pressure for greater strength. This not only makes Okuma Epixor XT spinning reels lighter, but also extremely rigid, ensuring that the internal parts remain in perfect alignment under stress!
Cyclonic flow rotor (CFR). The Cyclonic Flow Rotor (CFR) was designed to create a "cyclonic" airflow, which significantly increases the air around the rotor, under and around the spool, with each turn of the crank. This thoroughly tested design allows for a much faster drying time if the reel gets wet, minimizing corrosion and extending the life of the gear
Centrifugal Disc Deposit (CDB). The Centrifugal Disc Bail (CDB) design incorporates a heavier brass disc that is perfectly weighted and balanced to create smoother bailing operations. CDB increases the strength and stability of the closing and opening functions of the headband.
C-40X. Okuma's C-40X long strand carbon fiber technology uses a special blended graphite polymer. The carbon fibers in this material are stretched and strengthened, which creates a composite that is substantially stronger than standard graphite. At 25% lighter, 50% stronger, and 100% anti-corrosive, the Epixor XT's carbon fiber frame and sideplate are extremely lightweight and durable.
Progressive clutch. The Okuma 1-K carbon fiber drag is lightweight and creates progressive resistance, allowing you to tailor settings to specific line conditions and fish or dial in the optimal drag load during a long fight.
