Shimano's new Super GT RD reel combines sleek cosmetics with a powerful retrieve that makes it perfect for feeder fishing, match fishing, trout-lake fishing with bombarda, and even float fishing in saltwater. Equipped with Shimano's exclusive Fightin' Drag technology, this reel is not afraid of distance fishing, even of big fish. The powerful 5.0:1 (size 2500) or 4.8:1 (size 4000) retrieve ratio generates impressive power and combined with Fightin' Drag offers extreme control. The smaller 2500 is an excellent reel for floaters or small feeder, while the larger 4000 is better suited for heavier floaters, bombarda and big feeders. The Super GT's fabulous Fightin' Drag system is complemented by other great features such as the AR-C reel, Aero Wrap II and Power Roller, which result in excellent line handling and casting performance, plus a lightweight yet durable XT-7 body.
