With its powerful retrieve and Cross Carbon drag-system ( drag strength - 8 kg!), the Shimano Tranx B 301 is available with standard (5.8:1) or fast (7.6:1) retrieve ratios with a left-hand crank. Originally designed to fight mighty Muskie, this reel offers extreme power when you need it most. Despite its power, the Tranx is surprisingly elegant and compact in the hand. The double crank with standard 301 gear allows you to retrieve 78 cm of line per revolution at 5.8:1 speed. And if speed is your thing, buckle up for the HG (7.6:1) option, featuring a single ‘power’ crank with a sturdy knob, which allows you to retrieve an impressive 103 cm per revolution! Weighing just over 300 g and made from a solid aluminium HAGANE Core body with MicroModule internal gears. For precision casting, the Tranx boasts Shimano's SVS MD (MONSTER DRIVE) TUNE braking system, with internal brake adjustment as well as an external dial.
